Today, she lost her first tooth at school. She is so incredibly excited, she can't sleep. She can't stop talking about it. It is so gosh darn cute! I am sad though (of course). I think I need some help--haha. I got an announcement about the kindergarten graduation and cried for 30 minutes after reading the paper. That is silly! I just don't want my kids to grow up. I want to keep them in a nice little bubble where nothing bad happens, there are no tears, no disappointments, no loss. I know that is heaven though and on this earth, they will experience all of these things numerous times. I only hope can raise them to be able to deal with all of those things in a healthy way.
I didn't mean to get off on that. Its been so long since I updated this blog and I kept thinking that I would wait until Sophie lost her first tooth and then blog about that. Nothing all that exciting has happened since then. Easter was great, another month gone. We are counting down the days for summer. Sophie and Luke are both taking swim lessons and gymnastics, so that should be fun.
Here is a pictures of my baby after she lost her "first tooth" :
In other news, Luke is now (FINALLY) potty trained. Oh wow, it is so nice to not have the "issues" that Sophie had. The girl wouldn't poop in the potty until she was FOUR! She wouldn't use a public restroom until she was FOUR, though she was potty trained at TWO. This was two years (some of it while I was pregnant and had to go a lot) of immediately going home when she had to go. We had to end her third birthday party so we could go home and she could go to the bathroom. She was scared of Oma's toilet---so much so that we had to put a towel on it when Sophie was there. She still walks into public restrooms covering her ears---which brings lots of strange looks. Luke is not really scared of anything about restrooms. In fact, being the boy he is, its funny to hear the noise of the toilet flushing. It's funny to make "bubbles" with his pee. I know you all wanted to know that. No one reads this, so I can write what I want! Ha! Anyway, its nice not to have to deal with any diapers. Sadly, this makes me long for another baby---which isn't working out so well right now!
Here are a couple of pictures from Easter:
I will post more pictures soon. I have to get better about blogging!
