Hair Today...

Zac took Luke for a haircut on Monday while Sophie and I were at dance. Sophie and I got home before the boys, and when Luke came through the door, I was horrified. Some dummy-head person shaved my poor boy bald and gave him a bowl cut on the top. I was so mad. I can't believe I got so mad over my three year old little boy getting a bad haircut. In the grand scheme of things, it is such a silly little thing to get huffy about. Oh well, you understand if you are a girl---hair is a big deal! He no longer looked like a sweet little boy, he looked like a marine (not that it is a bad thing, but it looked stupid on Luke) I was too mad to even take a picture. I barely let the poor boy eat, threw him in the van and took him to get it "fixed." The lady I took him to even gasped at the "hack job" that they did on him. The best she could do was blend the top in a little. I still hate it, but it will grow back---it is JUST HAIR.


It couldn't have been a coincidence that the same night, as I was doing my bible study homework, there was a section on "being a drama queen" and making little things into huge deals. Boy, am I ever guilty of that, like ALL THE TIME. I started to think about how "high maintenance" I really am and was pretty ashamed. I am going to have to work on that!


Anyway, I don't have a picture of the "bowl" cut, but you can kind of see how short it is in the following picture. I took a couple of pictures of Luke and Katie (his favorite friend at work) playing together. They are so adorable. They also fight over the silliest things. I was in a room doing therapy all the way across the building and I heard:


Katie: "YOU LIKE BLUE AND I LIKE PINK
Luke: "NO, I LIKE PINK"
Katie: "NO, YOU CAN'T LIKE PINK! YOU ARE A BOY!
Luke: YES I LIKE PINK. YOU LIKE BLUE
Katie" NOOOOO! YOU LIKE BLUE AND I LIKE PINK
