God's Newest Angel

Gene and Bobbie Moore are two very special people to me. Bobbie is technically my second cousin---she is My Grandmother's niece and Gene is her husband. Anyway these are some of the nicest nicest people I have ever ever met. They have also gone through so so much in there life and despite that found nothing more wonderful than rejoicing in their faith and prayer. I hope this makes sense. They tried for years to get pregnant and finally did. They had a sweet little boy named Timothy. Timothy died at a very young age after a horrible battle with leukemia. I think he was only 10. Heartbreaking. Gene wrote a beautiful song for Timothy at that time and felt compelled to send me a copy when Olivia died. It was one of the most special things I have from that time in my life. Gene Moore died today as a result of a stroke following heart attacks and general bad health. I want to put the lyrics here as a tribute to him. I am sad about his passing, but smiling about how great it was to be re-united with his little boy. I can't do anything but smile when I think about this happening with our sweet Olivia. Oh the joy!

"God's Newest Angel" Words and Music by Gene Moore

"God's newest angel has now reached home.
There's no more sorrow or heavy load, the pain is over the journey's done.
God's newest angel has now reached home.

God shared an infant, a little child, a tender baby to love a while---then sent an angel from His white throne.
God's newest angel has now reached home.
Our hearts are singing of love we shared.
Our Child's with Jesus in heaven there.
And someday yonder around God's throne, we too His children shall gather home.

God's newest angel has now reached home.
There's no more sorrow or heavy load.
The pain is over, the journey's done.
God's newest angel has now reached home."

Welcome home Gene and I rejoice in the fact that you are now with your sweet and precious son now. Thank you for touching so many lives, including mine with your ministering, love and music. We all love you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. What a perfect song. It is comforting to know he is in heaven with his son. Do you think we will know those babies in heaven that we did not get to meet here on earth?
